With able hands, warm hearts and our thoughts to the Birth of Our Lord, we prepare our small gifts for those around us and for our beloved school. As we know that the joy of giving is always greater than the joy of receiving gifts we can tell you that the joy of making gifts is greater still than that of buying them.
From ancient times, Saint Nicholas comes again and again, to renew his communion with people from all over the world. At the end of the year, he teaches us how to decorate and renew our souls with the joy of giving, that is maybe nowhere else is reflected more beautifully that in the eyes of children with gifts in their hands. Saint Nicholas bestow onto our children the gifts of the Holy Spirit that will not be taken from them.
A friend can be not only the one closest to you, but also the one who is far away and carries you in his heart and mind! The students of our school, from the youngest to the oldest have begun corresponding with the Orthodox Highschool “Anastasia Popescu” from Bucharest. Do you remember the joy of a letter received in an embroider envelope with a stamp and written by hand with a pen? Our students will live exactly this from now on, they will unravel their thoughts and their hearts and will await and answer from their new friends
Our school smelled like Russia of old for the celebration of the feast of our patron saint, Saint Silouan. Beginning this year, our children dramatized some fragments of the saint’s life, so that every year other fragments may be portrayed, and thus the scenes will become living pictures, that can be carried in the school uniform pockets. Saint Silouan , how does Heaven look like ? The example of your life is the most beautiful education for us.

For us it was the season to tear down all that was keeping us from fulfilling what was more and more clearly God’s intention, which had transformed in time in our own heart’s longing and to build a new beginning.
